- DC flags off tour sponsored by Agriculture Department
DODA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harvinder Singh today flagged off a group of 35 farmers for an inter-UT agro-exposure visit within Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative is being organised under the Development of Seed & Seed Multiplication Chain by the Department of Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare Doda.
The DC interacted with the farmers, emphasizing the importance of such exposure visits in enhancing their knowledge about modern agricultural practices and boosting agro-entrepreneurship. He encouraged the participants to make the most of the opportunity by learning advanced techniques and innovations that can be implemented in the district to improve agricultural productivity and profitability.
Chief Agriculture Officer Anil Gupta, along with officers and officials of the Agriculture Department were also present at the flag off event. The participating farmers drawn from different parts of the District expressed enthusiasm for the visit and its potential to positively impact their farming practices.
This exposure visit aims to strengthen the farmers’ understanding of progressive farming methodologies and promote the adoption of innovative agro-techniques across the district.
