- Our aim is to support every deserving student: Director
SRINAGAR: Known for shaping thousands of successful careers, Sadam KIE (SKIE), Jammu and Kashmir’s premier and leading coaching institute, once again proved its strong commitment to education by successfully conducting the Mega SATHE Scholarship Test, which received an extraordinary response from students across the region.
With a long and trusted legacy, the institute has produced a large number of doctors, engineers and other professionals who are today serving in various fields across J&K. Building on this reputation, the SATHE Scholarship Test was held in two phases and attracted around 8,000 students in total. The second phase, conducted on Sunday, December 14, 2025, saw the participation of over 3,000 students, while nearly 5,000 students appeared in the first phase, making it one of the largest free scholarship tests ever organised in the Valley.
Students came not only from Srinagar and nearby towns but also from far-flung and remote areas, travelling long distances despite cold weather and difficult road conditions. Many parents accompanied their children, showing the deep trust people have in the initiative.
The examination was conducted smoothly at four centres, Parraypora Main Campus, Soura, Rajbagh and Anantnag. The entire process was personally supervised by Sadam Sir, Director of Sadam KIE (SKIE), to ensure fairness, discipline and a comfortable environment for students.
Speaking on the occasion, Director SKIE Sadam Sir said that the main aim of the SATHE Scholarship Test is to support talented students who cannot afford coaching fees, especially those from poor families and students living in distant areas. “Our goal is very simple, No student should stop dreaming because of money problems. We want to give quality guidance, good teachers and honest opportunities to every deserving child,” he said.
He added that Jammu & Kashmir has no shortage of talent and with proper guidance, students can reach top medical colleges, engineering institutes and universities across the country. Sadam Sir also stressed that the scholarship test process is completely transparent and based only on merit. The scholarship chart was displayed openly at the centres. Students scoring 92% to 100% marks will receive 100% scholarship, meaning they can study at SKIE without paying any fee.
Students who appeared in the test shared positive feedback. NEET and JEE aspirants said the paper was well-designed and close to real exam patterns, helping them understand their preparation level. School students said the questions were clear and based on what they study in class. With thousands of students appearing in just two phases, the Mega SATHE Scholarship Test has grown beyond a routine examination. It now stands as a meaningful effort to make quality education accessible to every deserving student across Jammu and Kashmir.
The aim of the initiative is clear and student-focused: to ensure that talented learners can continue their studies without the stress of high fees. Through SATHE, Sadam KIE (SKIE) seeks to provide proper guidance, academic support and equal opportunities, helping students turn their ambitions into achievements.
