SRINAGAR: Senior BJP leader Ravinder Raina on Friday visited Dooru in Anantnag district to offer condolences to the family of Jenab Ghulam Mohammad Shah, a dedicated Forest Guard who laid down his life while courageously fighting a massive forest fire in the Kapran area of the district.
During his visit, Raina met the bereaved family members and paid rich tributes to the deceased, describing Shah as a committed frontline worker who displayed exemplary courage and a strong sense of duty while protecting the region’s forests. He said that such sacrifices made in the line of duty would always be remembered with respect and gratitude.
Expressing deep grief over the tragic loss, Raina prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and urged the authorities and society at large to honour the contribution of forest personnel who risk their lives to safeguard natural resources. He also prayed for strength and patience for the family to bear the irreparable loss, and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to them. Senior BJP Leaders Mohd. Rafiq Wani, Chowdhary Roshan Hussain Gujjar, BJP District President Rakesh Koul, Pinka Malik, Constituency President Zahoor Mir, Abid Nengroo and others were also accompanied Ravinder Raina.
