KATRA: The School of Electronics and Communication Engineering (SoECE), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, successfully organized a 2-Day National Seminar on “Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Electronics” in hybrid mode.

The seminar was organized by the School of ECE in association with the High-End AI & Deep Learning Lab with the objective of exploring emerging applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in modern electronics and communication systems.

The seminar was conducted under the patronage and support of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Pragati Kumar, whose encouragement and vision helped in organizing the event successfully. The seminar featured expert lectures by eminent academicians from premier institutions including Prof. Ranjan Mallik (IIT Delhi), Prof. Swades De (IIT Delhi), Prof. Ankit Dubey (IIT Jammu), Prof. Pritam Kumar (IIT Patna), Prof. Sandeep Kumar (IIT Delhi) and Prof. Sudhan Majhi (IISc Bangalore).

The speakers delivered insightful talks on recent advances in artificial intelligence, deep learning techniques, and their applications in wireless communication and electronic systems. The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, research scholars, and students. A total of 122 participants registered for the seminar in both offline and online modes, reflecting strong interest in the rapidly growing field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

The seminar was coordinated by Prof. K. R. Jha, while Dr. Anil Bhardwaj served as the Organizing Secretary. The organizing team included Dr. Baijnath Kaushik and Dr. Shashi Bhushan Kotwal, along with active support from faculty members, research scholars, and staff of the School of ECE. The organizers also acknowledged the valuable support and guidance of Prof. Sanjeev Suri and Prof. Sanjeev Wadhawan in the successful conduct of the seminar.

The Digital Team members Deepankur Gupta, Munish Singh, and Rohit Uppal provided technical and digital support for the event, while Mr. Narottam Singh coordinated guest-related arrangements. The seminar concluded with a valedictory session, where the organizers expressed gratitude to the speakers and participants for their valuable contributions. The event provided a meaningful platform for knowledge exchange and highlighted the increasing role of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in next-generation electronic and communication technologies.
