AWANTIPORA: As part of the ongoing Police Flag Day Week celebrations, Police in Awantipora organised a series of programmes to honour the supreme sacrifices of police martyrs and pay tribute to their bravery, dedication and service to the nation.

Today, police officers visited the native villages and towns of police martyrs in Sub Division Pampore and interacted with their families to express solidarity and enquire about their well-being. During the interactions, the officers patiently listened to their grievances and assured them of all possible assistance and timely redressal of their genuine concerns.

As a mark of respect and remembrance, portraits of the martyrs were displayed in the respective primary schools where they had received their early education. Floral tributes were also paid to the brave martyrs, while their courage, dedication and supreme sacrifices were highlighted among students and members of the local community.

The initiative aimed to preserve the legacy of the brave martyrs, inspire young minds with the values of patriotism and selfless service, and strengthen the bond between the police and the public. It also reaffirmed Awantipora Police’s commitment to standing by the families of its martyrs and ensuring that the sacrifices made by these brave personnel in the line of duty are remembered with pride and gratitude.

Police remains committed to honouring its martyrs and their families, recognising their invaluable contribution to the nation and keeping alive the spirit of courage, sacrifice and service that defines the police force.
