KUPWARA: Mission Vatsalya Kupwara through its CWC unit in collaboration with ICDS Block Kupwara conducted an awareness programme about child rights in remote area Batpora in Hayhama block of District Kupwara. The programme was conducted under the supervision of CDPO Kupwara. Students from High School Batpora Hayhama also participated in the programme.

CDPO Kupwara highlighted the benefits under ICDS for adolescent girls. Mohd Rafi Shah from CWC sensitized the audience about the rights of the children under Juvenile Justice Act 2015 and Prohibition of Child Marriage Act 2006. Also the locals were sensitized about the ill consequences of employing children less than 18 years.
