JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir General Secretary and former Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria, conducted an on-ground inspection of various ongoing development works in the Ward-55, Kunjwani area of the RS Pura–Jammu South Assembly Constituency.

During his visit, Billawaria interacted with local residents and took detailed feedback on the issues, requirements, and developmental needs of the area. He assured the residents that their genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned departments and necessary steps would be pursued for their timely resolution.Billawaria said that a few days ago, a delegation of local residents had met him and requested him to undertake a comprehensive visit to the ward to assess the problems being faced by the people on the ground.

Acting on their request, he visited the area, reviewed the progress of ongoing development works, and interacted with officials concerned regarding the issues raised by the residents. He said that the residents of Uttam Nagar, Kunjwani, had been demanding the installation of road tiles and improvement of drainage facilities for a long time. Completion of these works will improve connectivity and ease of movement for residents while also helping address waterlogging and drainage-related problems, particularly during the monsoon season, he added. The residents also requested that, along with tile work, proper gratings be installed at suitable points to ensure effective drainage and smooth flow of rainwater.

Terming the demand genuine and practical, Billawaria emphasized that development should not be limited merely to construction, but must also ensure quality, functionality, and long-term public utility. He accordingly took up the matter with the concerned officials and stressed that appropriate arrangements for gratings should be made at necessary locations along with the tile work. The officials agreed to the proposal and assured that the required work would be taken up on priority and completed at the earliest.

Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that the core objective of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s politics is public service, development, and the welfare of every section of society. He said that, in accordance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,” BJP workers remain continuously connected with the people, understand their concerns, and work towards resolving issues at the grassroots level.

He emphasized that the true essence of development lies in ensuring that its benefits reach every common citizen and that the day-to-day issues faced by people at the grassroots level are addressed with sincerity, sensitivity and efficiency. He further assured the residents that their genuine concerns would continue to be taken up with the concerned departments on priority, with sustained efforts to ensure timely resolution and tangible improvement in the lives of the people.

The local residents expressed their gratitude to Baldev Singh Billawaria for taking their concerns seriously, visiting the area personally, inspecting the ongoing works, and pursuing the demand for proper drainage gratings. Those present on the occasion included Ajay Pratap Singh, Rajinder Singh (Poppy), Ajmer Chib, Pawan Chib, Om Nath, Joginder Singh, and other party workers.
