BANDIPORA:  Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, on thursday conducted a late-night inspection of the Shadipora Transit Camp to review the arrangements put in place for the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 (SANJY) and took firsthand feedback from the pilgrims regarding the facilities being provided.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner undertook a comprehensive inspection of the facilities established at the transit camp, including accommodation, sanitation, drinking water supply, healthcare services, electricity, traffic management, security arrangements and other essential amenities to ensure the convenience, safety and well-being of the pilgrims.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to maintain close coordination, ensure prompt response to any requirement and provide uninterrupted essential services throughout the Yatra period to facilitate a safe, smooth and hassle-free pilgrimage.

On the occasion, the pilgrims appreciated the facilities being provided and expressed satisfaction over the services extended by the District Administration and all agencies associated with the conduct of the Yatra.

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner also interacted with officers, field functionaries and other personnel deployed at the transit camp and appreciated their dedication in ensuring efficient management of the Yatra. She urged them to continue working with the same commitment and remain prepared to respond promptly to the needs of the pilgrims.
