• BRO asked to expedite retaining wall construction

RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma conducted an on-the-site inspection today to assess the impact of the ongoing National Highway construction on some structures in Nowshera.  During the visit, he directed the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) to expedite retaining walls construction and complete the same before onset of rains to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.

Interacting with the locals, the DC listened to their grievances and assured timely redressal. He also directed Assistant Commissioner Defence, to expedite the land acquisition process and ensure that compensation is awarded to the affected residents without delay. Accompanying the DC during the visit were ADC, Nowshera, Babu Ram Tandon, AC Defense, Israr Mir, representatives from BRO, and other district and sectoral officers.
