UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, today chaired a District Level Committee (DLC) meeting at the Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, Udhampur, to assess the physical and financial achievements made under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme in the district. At the onset, Chief Agriculture Officer Sanjay Anand briefed the committee on the current status of agriculture and allied sectors under HADP.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized expediting the approval of applications received on the HADP portal and directed officers to improve the approval rate, aiming for a 0% rejection rate. She urged the officers to facilitate farmers in addressing any shortfalls in their applications.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed all concerned officers to adopt a proactive approach to enroll as many farmers as possible, setting aside predefined targets. She directed Sub-Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars to review HADP progress at the Sub-Division level with the concerned Agriculture Extension Officers. Additionally, she called for organizing special camps in collaboration with the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan to increase farmer participation in HADP. Deputy Commissioner directed SDMs to resolve bottlenecks in the Daksh Kisan Portal Course Completion by organizing special camps.
