KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting with the District Heads of line departments and government executing agencies to review proposals for the optimal utilization of the government buildings, Mini Secretariat infrastructure and repair, renovation and creation of additional facilities at the District Headquarters.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Heads of District Offices functioning at the District Headquarters to undertake a comprehensive assessment of the existing infrastructure and submit proposals for additional requirements, wherever necessary.
The Deputy Commissioner laid special emphasis on the development of new green spaces within the complex to create a greener, cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing environment.
The District Heads were asked to include in their respective proposals requirements related to the repair and renovation of office infrastructure, including ceiling and wall repairs, flooring/tiles, painting, boundary-related works and other essential civil works, wherever required.
Directions were also issued to assess the requirements for water supply and filtration systems, water motors, lighting, boundary walls and solar lighting facilities at the Mini Secretariat, New DC Office Complex and other District Offices.
The Deputy Commissioner further directed the departments to assess the feasibility of rainwater harvesting systems and make necessary provisions on priority. He directed the Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B), to prepare a comprehensive assessment of the existing District Administration Complex and submit proposals for the identified requirements and necessary works.
The Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) was also directed to depute a Junior Engineer along with the technical team to assess and cross-check the proposals submitted by the concerned departments, besides preparing DPRs for all the works identified and cross-checked thereafter.
The meeting was attended by PO ICDS Rishi Kumar Sharma, CPO Akhil Thakur, ACR Kishtwar Idrees Lone, ACP Neeraj Sharma, DSWO/DIO Tariq Parveaz Qazi, EO MC Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal, DTO Shoket Ali Rather, ALC Amit Kumar, AD Handicrafts Pardeep Sen, AO DC Office Asgar Ahmed Matoo, CAO Kushal Chandel, CEO Sanjay Dogra, CMO Dr. Sanjay Bhat, ExEn PWD R&B Shamis Din, besides other officers and officials of various departments.
