In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

REASI: As part of the ongoing Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme 2025–26, the District Industries Centre (DIC), Reasi on Monday organized a series of Awareness Creation cum Outreach Programmes across multiple blocks of the district.  The awareness events were held at Main Market Arnas (Block Arnas), Main Market Mahore (Block Mahore), Tote near Government Higher Secondary School (Block Bhomag) and Main Market Dharmari (Block Thuroo).

The primary objective of these outreach programmes was to sensitize entrepreneurs, artisans and other stakeholders to the key interventions under RAMP in alignment with the approved Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) and operational guidelines.

Special emphasis was laid on promoting flagship schemes such as the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), PM Vishwakarma Yojana, JKREGP and Mission YUVA along with other departmental initiatives aimed at strengthening the MSME ecosystem.

All programmes were conducted under the overall supervision of the General Manager, DIC Reasi, Navdeep Wazir. The events were coordinated by concerned officers including Adeish Singh (IPO) at Arnas, Asif Mehmood Kassana (Functional Manager) at Mahore, Ankur Sharma (Functional Manager) at Bhomag and  Param Chadgal (IPO) at Thuroo.

The programmes witnessed enthusiastic participation from local entrepreneurs, Sarpanches, PRI members, market representatives and shopkeepers. They were apprised of the objectives, benefits and implementation framework of RAMP. Special focus was laid on encouraging beneficiaries of PMEGP, JKREGP and Mission YUVA to register their units on the UDYAM portal to avail various benefits and incentives. These outreach initiatives reflect the continued efforts of DIC Reasi to promote entrepreneurship, enhance awareness and facilitate the growth of MSMEs in the district.
