The second agenda concerned Open Elective courses for students across the University. The Board appreciated the proposed interdisciplinary courses ‘Introduction to Aerospace, Drones and Space Technology’ and ‘Emerging Trends in Sustainable Engineering Design and Technologies.’

The Board also deliberated upon Skill Enhancement/Skill-Based courses and recommended the introduction of ‘Fundamentals of CAD and 3D Printing,’ aimed at providing students with practical exposure to computer-aided design and contemporary additive manufacturing technologies.

The meeting provided a valuable platform for academic–industry interaction, with the external experts sharing perspectives on emerging technological trends, industry expectations and the skills required by future engineers.
