The panel, which earlier comprised 13 members, has now been expanded to ensure broader regional and community representation in the ongoing dialogue process. With their inclusion, three representatives from the Jammu region are now part of the panel. The move aims to bring together diverse voices from across Jammu and Kashmir to foster an inclusive dialogue. The committee will hold formal discussions with government authorities and other stakeholders to address concerns and share recommendations regarding the reservation policy and recruitment-related issues affecting students and job aspirants across Jammu and Kashmir.

The Association stated that the inclusion of members from varied backgrounds, including activists, scholars, and professionals, reflects its commitment to building a comprehensive, transparent, and balanced approach in discussions with the authorities. The panel, chaired by Dr. Zubair Reshi, will review the government’s sub-committee report on reservation and prepare actionable recommendations aligned with the aspirations of the youth across regions and communities.

Speaking on the development, Nasir Khuehami, National Convenor of the JKSA, said, “We have ensured that the panel represents every region and community of Jammu and Kashmir. The inclusion of members from Jammu province, particularly from the Kashmiri Pandit and other communities, underlines our belief in equitable participation and inclusive decision-making.

”Khuehami added that the Association firmly believes in constructive engagement with the government and hopes that the panel’s dialogue will help evolve a policy framework that safeguards the rights and opportunities of all sections of society. The 15-member committee will soon seek a formal appointment with the government to present its feedback and recommendations on the reservation policy, aiming to bridge misunderstandings and build consensus through meaningful dialogue.
