SRINAGAR: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, police booked notorious drug smuggler under PIT-NDPS Act in Sopore after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority

The notorious drug smuggler namely Altaf Hussain Yatoo son of Farooq Ahmad Yatoo resident of Chijhama Rafiabad have been booked under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority. He has been taken into custody and is now being held in the Central Jail Kot-Balwal, Jammu.

It is important to mention that many cases have been registered against the said drug smuggler and was still involved in drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to the local youth of the Police District Sopore and other areas of the district.

General public has appreciated the role played by the Police in taking the action against drug smugglers. Police is committed to take strict action against such criminals as per the law.
