JAMMU: In reference to the news published in a section of press regarding the alleged poor condition of Satwari-R.S. Pura road stretch, It is clarified that the corrective measure are regularly taken for maintenance of the said road stretch and during the current financial year the whole stretch from Satwari Chowk to Airport has been macadamized under Cities and Town Roads Programme.
The Macadamization work of the road from (Satwari to R.S.Pura) Airport to Kharian Miran Sahib will be started on July 5, 2024. Further, it has been envisaged to lay Rigid pavement in Main Bazar of Miran Sahib on Satwari R.S.Pura Road for which tendering is under process and further stretch of road upto R.S.Pura is under defect liability period and is being maintained by the contractor regularly for which direction stands already issued.
