JAMMU: J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma (CA), along with BJP J&K Vice President Rekha Mahajan, District Prabhari Praduman Singh and District President Naresh Singh Jasrotia, participated in a series of competitions organized at Government Girls’ High School, Raipur Satwari, under the ongoing ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan’.
The programme featured Rangoli, drawing and debate competitions, witnessing enthusiastic participation by students. Through colourful Rangoli designs, creative drawings and thoughtful speeches during the debate competition, the students expressed their ideas on social awareness, service, national commitment, responsible citizenship and nation-building. The competitions provided the students with platforms to showcase their creativity, communication skills and awareness of their responsibilities towards society and the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan is aimed at taking the spirit of service beyond programmes and into the lives of people, particularly the younger generation. He said that activities like Rangoli, drawing and debate provide students with opportunities to express their thoughts and creativity while developing a sense of social responsibility and commitment towards the nation.
Sat Sharma said that the enthusiasm and talent displayed by the students reflected the aspirations of the younger generation. He emphasized that education should go beyond classrooms and help nurture responsible, creative and socially conscious citizens. He appreciated the students for using their artistic and intellectual abilities to convey positive messages of service, awareness and national development.
Rekha Mahajan said that Rangoli and drawing are deeply rooted in India’s cultural and creative traditions, while debate helps develop confidence, communication skills and the ability to engage with important social issues. She said that programmes under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan are providing young students with platforms to participate, express themselves and connect their creativity and abilities with the values of service and social responsibility.
Naresh Singh Jasrotia appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and the efforts of the school authorities in organizing the competitions. He added that the BJP will continue to promote meaningful activities that connect the younger generation with the spirit of service and nation-building.
