Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan must go beyond events, become sustained public connect: Sat Sharma

• Sat Sharma reviews month-long campaign, directs leaders to wider public participation

JAMMU: J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma (CA) chaired a review meeting of the ongoing Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, and directed party functionaries to further intensify the campaign’s grassroots reach, strengthen coordination and ensure that every programme translates into meaningful public engagement.

J&K BJP Vice-Presidents Rajiv Charak, Rakesh Mahajan, Rekha Mahajan and Rashpaul Verma, General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra, Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan (Abhiyan Incharge), MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat, Secretaries Reema Padha, Arun Sharma and Pawan Sharma, besides other senior leaders, participated in the meeting.

The meeting took a detailed stock of the programmes already conducted across Jammu and Kashmir and reviewed preparations for the forthcoming activities. Sat Sharma sought programme-wise feedback from the leadership, assessed ground-level participation and stressed the need for close coordination between different organizational teams for the effective implementation of the remaining programmes.

Sat Sharma, while addressing the meeting, said that the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan should not remain confined to programmes on a calendar but should emerge as a sustained movement of service and public engagement.

“The real strength of any organizational campaign lies in its reach among the people. Every worker must ensure that the spirit of Sewa reaches every district, Mandal and section of society. We have to remain continuously connected with the people, understand their concerns and respond through meaningful service,” Sat Sharma said.

Sharma said that the month-long Abhiyan provides the BJP cadre an opportunity to take the message of service, social responsibility and nation-building to the grassroots. He stressed that organizational strengthening and public service must move together, with workers maintaining direct contact with society rather than limiting their activities to organizational programmes.

Sat Sharma further directed the programme in-charges and senior leaders to maintain strict coordination, regular monitoring and timely execution of all forthcoming activities. He said that responsibilities assigned to party workers must be followed through to their logical conclusion and that feedback from the field should continuously guide the implementation of the campaign.

“We must measure the success of the Abhiyan by its public participation, grassroots reach and the impact it creates in society. Every worker has a responsibility to make this campaign visible through service and meaningful engagement,” he said. Gopal Mahajan briefed the leadership about the progress of the Abhiyan and the preparations for the next phase.
