SHOPIAN: District Administration Shopian has urged all farmers to approach their concerned Patwaris/Revenue field staff and complete registration under Agristack for generation of the unique Farmers ID.

The initiative will create a comprehensive digital database of farmers and facilitate seamless access to agriculture-related benefits, including Direct Benefit Transfer, crop insurance, soil health cards and institutional credit.

Meanwhile, Revenue officials and field staff have been directed to expedite the exercise, ensure proper verification and maintain data quality. Special assistance has been advised for elderly and marginal farmers.

Registration and verification under AgriStack is currently underway across the district through dedicated camps, with all villages being covered in a phased manner. Farmers are urged to cooperate with the field staff and complete their registration at the earliest to ensure that no eligible farmer is left out.
