The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

The sessions were aimed at enhancing participants’ understanding of census procedures, data collection methodologies, and operational guidelines related to Census 2027. The resource persons conducted the sessions effectively, ensuring clarity on all critical aspects of the forthcoming House Listing and Housing Census activities.

Alongside theoretical inputs, practical and hands-on training was provided on the test CMMS portal, HLBC portal, and Self Enumeration portal. Participants were given live demonstrations and guided exercises to familiarize them with the functionalities of these digital platforms, enabling them to efficiently manage real-time data entry, monitoring and overall census operations.

The participants actively engaged in the sessions and expressed satisfaction with the quality and utility of the training programme. The initiative is expected to significantly enhance the preparedness and efficiency of field-level functionaries in the district. The successful conclusion of the training programme marks a significant step towards ensuring the smooth, accurate and effective conduct of Census 2027 in District Rajouri.
