JAMMU: Aryans College of Pharmacy, Rajpura (Near Chandigarh), inaugurated Pharmacovigilance Week 2025 with the theme “Your Safety, Just a Click Away: Report to PvPI.”

The inaugural ceremony featured an enlightening keynote session by Dr. Ajay Prakash, Additional Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. Dr. Prakash highlighted the critical importance of drug safety, the need for timely reporting of adverse drug reactions (ADRs), and the pivotal role of pharmacists in safeguarding patient health.

The seminar was actively attended by students of D. Pharma and B. Pharma, who gained valuable insights into the significance of pharmacovigilance in their professional journey.

As part of the week-long observance, the college will organize awareness campaigns, workshops, and interactive sessions to sensitize pharmacy students about pharmacovigilance practices and encourage active participation in strengthening the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI).
