In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

JAMMU: Acknowledging India’s unprecedented economic rise, Gaurav Gupta, BJP Spokesperson, J&K UT, has said that the recent remarks by Blackstone President and COO Jon Gray, describing India as “the fastest-growing country in the G10” and “one of the most attractive investment destinations in the world,” are a resounding endorsement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary and reform-driven governance that has placed India firmly on the global investment map.

Gupta stated that this recognition from one of the world’s largest investment firms reflects the global faith in India’s transformation story—a story powered by infrastructure expansion, technological advancement, economic resilience, and a rapidly growing middle class. He emphasized that India’s emergence as an investment magnet is not incidental but the outcome of consistent policy reforms, decisive leadership, and a clear roadmap for ‘Viksit Bharat’.

He further highlighted that Jon Gray’s praise of India’s strong economic fundamentals and robust infrastructure push underscores the confidence global investors have in India’s long-term prospects. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India has witnessed record-breaking growth across sectors—be it highways, railways, renewable energy, smart cities, or manufacturing. The nation’s economic stability and expanding consumer base make it the world’s most compelling investment destination today,” Gupta remarked.

Citing the IMF’s upward revision of India’s GDP growth forecast to 6.6%, Gupta said this acknowledgment further strengthens India’s position as a driver of global growth, especially when many advanced economies are grappling with stagnation. “India’s success lies in its balance—strong domestic demand, robust governance, and visionary leadership,” he added.

He pointed out that initiatives such as Make in India, Digital India, Start-up India, and Gati Shakti have created an ecosystem that promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, and ease of doing business. “The rapidly expanding middle class is not just a consumer base—it represents aspiration, confidence, and a new wave of national progress,” Gupta said.

He asserted that Blackstone’s recognition is a tribute to India’s remarkable transformation under PM Modi’s leadership, proving that the world now looks at India not just as a market, but as a partner in global growth. “This is the New India—Atmanirbhar, ambitious, and unstoppable,” Gupta concluded.
