In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam, an Institution of National Importance established under the IIM Act 2017, has announced a collaboration with the Imarticus School of Finance & Business (ISFB), founded by Imarticus Learning. This partnership introduces a first-of-its-kind opportunity for both undergraduate and postgraduate students to participate in structured academic immersion programmes hosted on an IIM campus.

Under this, ISFB students will participate in specially designed academic immersion programmes hosted at the IIM Visakhapatnam campus. Undergraduates will undergo a five-day academic immersion, during which they will engage with core concepts delivered directly by IIM Visakhapatnam faculty. Postgraduates will undertake a three-day on-campus immersion, complemented by a total of 126 hours of academic delivery by IIM Visakhapatnam. Completion of the postgraduate immersion track will also grant participants Executive Alumni Status from IIM Visakhapatnam. Together, these programmes are designed to transform academic learning by giving students early, structured, and meaningful access to the environment, pedagogy, and academic culture of an IIM.

Speaking about the partnership, Joy Parekh, CEO of ISFB said, "This collaboration with IIM Visakhapatnam reflects our commitment to giving students access to world-class academic environments early in their journey. At ISFB, we aim to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world expectations, and these IIM-led immersion programmes will provide students with the exposure, confidence, and skills they need to excel in modern finance and business roles. We are proud to partner with an institution of such national importance to help shape India’s next generation of professionals."

Prof. Vijaya Bhaskar Marisetty, Dean (Academics), IIM Visakhapatnam added, "At IIM Visakhapatnam, we are committed to expanding access to high-quality management education and nurturing the next generation of leaders. This collaboration with the Imarticus School of Finance & Business allows us to extend our academic excellence to undergraduate learners for the first time. Through these immersive programmes, students will gain early exposure to management thinking, analytical skills, and the learning culture of an IIM, an experience we believe will shape their professional journeys in meaningful ways."

ISFB, recently launched by Imarticus Learning, aims to bridge the quality gap in India’s finance and business education ecosystem. While India produces over one million commerce graduates annually, fewer than 10% transition into sector-relevant finance roles. ISFB seeks to address this gap by integrating industry-driven curriculum, academic rigor, and real-world skill development.

Through the new partnership, ISFB students will participate in specially designed academic bootcamps hosted at IIM Visakhapatnam. These bootcamps will feature expert-led sessions, applied learning modules, case-based pedagogy, and exposure to cutting-edge management concepts. The experience is designed to transform undergraduate learning by giving students early access to an IIM environment—broadening their academic horizons, confidence, and career readiness.
