MUMBAI: As artificial intelligence moves beyond experimentation into enterprise-wide adoption, business executives are increasingly expected to work alongside intelligent systems that can generate insights, automate workflows, and act autonomously within defined objectives. Generative AI and Agentic AI are rapidly transforming how organisations operate, reshaping productivity, decision-making, and strategic execution across industries.

Recognising this shift, IITM Pravartak, the Technology Innovation Hub of IIT Madras funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, in collaboration with Emeritus, has announced the launch of the Executive Programme in Generative AI and Agentic AI Tools for Business. The four-month programme is designed to equip business professionals with practical, application-oriented AI capabilities, without requiring prior technical or programming expertise.

Recent industry research by trendsetters like Microsoft, LinkedIn, EY, and Deloitte highlights the urgency of this transition. More than 75% of knowledge workers globally now use AI tools in their daily work, while nearly 80% of professionals across generations report regular workplace adoption of AI. In India, over 80% of organisations are actively exploring Agentic AI use cases, signalling a decisive move towards autonomous and intelligent systems in business operations.
