• Sadbhav and Samvad (dialogue) are the foundation of a peaceful society: Dr Khwaja Iftikhar Ahmed

NEW DELHI: The Inter Faith Harmony Foundation of India (IFHFI), in collaboration with the NCPUL, Ministry of Education, Govt of India, will organise a national seminar on “Interfaith Ethics in Governance, Media, and Public Discourse” on Tuesday, 17 February 2026 at the India International Centre, New Delhi.

Speaking about the programme, Dr Khwaja Iftikhar Ahmed, Founder and Director of IFHFI, said, "There will be three academic sessions during the seminar. These sessions will focus on ethics in governance, responsibility in media, and the role of dialogue in strengthening social unity,".

“Sadbhav and Samvad (dialogue) are the foundation of a peaceful society. Without dialogue, misunderstandings grow. Our effort is to bring people together on one platform to promote harmony, respect and shared values," he stated.

He further said that language plays an important role in building bridges between communities. In this context, one special session of the seminar will be dedicated to Urdu under the theme “Urdu as a Language of Interfaith Harmony and Shared Cultural Heritage.” The session will discuss the role of Urdu in promoting cultural unity, literature, ethical thought and social dialogue in India.

Dr Khwaja Iftikhar Ahmed said that the seminar aims to create practical ideas and clear recommendations for improving public conduct in governance and media. Experts will share experiences, case studies and policy suggestions that can guide institutions toward more ethical and inclusive practices.
