JAMMU: The IIM Jammu Foundation for Entrepreneurship Innovation & Skill Development (IIMJ-FEISD)(IIM Jammu Incubation Centre)  organised ‘Offscript with IIM Jammu: YUVA Tales’ in collaboration with Cluster University of Jammu and its constituent colleges, as part of its next-level outreach initiative following the Innovation Bootcamps conducted in 2025. The flagship initiative aims to identify high-potential student ideas and create practical pathways for their development into viable start-ups.

The programme witnessed active participation from the constituent colleges of Cluster University of Jammu, including Govt. Maulana Azad Memorial, Post Graduate College, Jammu,  PSPS Govt. College For Women Gandhi Nagar,  S.P.M.R. College of Commerce, Jammu, Government Gandhi Memorial Science College, Cluster University School of Sciences, Cluster University School of Social Sciences, and Cluster University School of Engineering and Technology.

The initiative invited applications through a structured Selection Rubric, following which selected participants were brought together to form a focused cohort. The programme was designed to guide students through the journey from identifying real-world problems to developing, testing, and validating potential business ideas.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Shafia Saleem, Director, Extension & Outreach, Cluster University of Jammu, who welcomed the IIM Jammu delegation, participating students, and faculty members.

The event was graced by Dr. K. S. Chandrasekar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu, who highlighted entrepreneurship as a viable career pathway and encouraged students to become job creators. He appreciated the efforts of IIM Jammu, under the leadership of Prof. B. S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, in promoting practical and knowledge-driven entrepreneurship initiatives among higher education institutions. He urged students to identify challenges around them, develop innovative solutions, and take concrete steps towards venture creation.

The participants were introduced to the incubation and entrepreneurship support ecosystem of IIM Jammu FEISD and DST iTBI, including opportunities for incubation, mentorship, funding, and capacity building.

The IIM Jammu Incubation Team, comprising Dr. Vivek Sharma, Chief Innovation Officer; Mr. Kannav Padha, Incubation Manager – DST iTBI, IIM Jammu; and Ms. Druvi Sharma, Deputy Manager – DST iTBI, IIM Jammu, under the guidance of Dr. Muqbil Burhan, Chairperson, CEISD, conducted an interactive session on “Understanding Problem Statements, Idea Discussion & Validation.” The session focused on helping participants understand problem identification, idea refinement, and the process of validating potential solutions.

Adding a strong real-world entrepreneurial perspective, the programme featured an interaction with Mr. Divyavasu Sharma, Founder, Jivisha Health Pvt. Ltd., who shared his entrepreneurial journey, experiences, and insights on transforming real-world challenges into business opportunities. His interaction provided students with practical perspectives on entrepreneurship, along with avenues for internships, mentorship, venture creation, and venture growth.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the students of Cluster University of Jammu, who expressed their gratitude to the IIM Jammu team for conducting the initiative and acknowledged the support and collaboration extended by the Cluster University administration, constituent colleges, faculty members, and participating students.

Through ‘Offscript with IIM Jammu: YUVA Tales’, IIM Jammu FEISD continues to strengthen its outreach among young innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs, creating avenues for students to transform ideas into actionable opportunities and contribute to the region’s emerging entrepreneurship ecosystem.
