SRINAGAR: Police in Budgam organised a training workshop on ‘prevention of substance abuse and it's early detection’ programme  at Govt Higher Secondary School Watherhail. The event was attended by over 100 students and staff members. SDPO Khanshaib Shri Gh Mohiddin-JKPS, IC PP Watherhail were present on the occasion.

During the programme, SDPO Khanshaib conducted an interactive session with the participants. Ms. Insha - Incharge Drug De-addiction Centre DPL Budgam gave a lecture on the early signs of substance abuse, the methods of detection and identification of potential abusers and the treatments that are available for the drug addicts were also discussed in detail. The event also emphasized on the crucial role that teachers play in the prevention of substance abuse. Later, appreciation certificates were distributed among the participants with the slogan ‘Say No to Drugs and Yes to Life’.
