UDHAMPUR: As a part of the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada campaign, the District Information Centre Udhampur, in collaboration with local media, conducted a plantation drive at Sangoor, Udhampur.

District Information Officer, Rajinder Digra led the initiative by planting a sapling, following the themes "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" and "Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam," which symbolize a dedication to creating a cleaner and greener environment.

DIO urged the local community, civil society members, NGOs, and other stakeholders to actively engage in plantation drives to make most of the opportunity available. Highlighting the importance of combating climate change and its associated disasters, he stressed that by increasing tree cover we can safeguard the community and the planet blue as a whole.
