BANDIPORA:  The Municipal Committee (MC) Hajin today organised an inaugural ceremony of Swachhata Pakhwada 2024 , at Town Hall Hajin marking the beginning of a fortnightly campaign dedicated to promoting cleanliness and hygiene. The event commenced with a swachhata pledge, administered to officials, local citizens, and students, reinforcing the collective commitment to maintaining cleanliness in the community. 

A key highlight of the ceremony was the flagging off of a rally aimed at raising awareness about the Swachhata Pakhwada campaign.  The rally seeks to promote hygiene, cleanliness, and a sense of civic responsibility among the residents of Hajin. The inaugural ceremony was  attended by  prominent citizens including former MC Chairman Irshad Ahmad Wani,  officials of MC  Hajin, and representatives from various local organizations including  President  Auqaf Islamia Hajin,  President Traders Federation Hajin, and  President  Sumo Stand Hajin.

Officials of MC Hajin on the occasion emphasized the critical need for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and the benefits of adopting good sanitation practices. The officials highlighted the positive impact of a clean environment on public health and overall quality of life.
