BARAMULLA, BANDIPORA & HANDWARA: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv 2025 initiatives, J&K Police organized cleanliness drives under "Seva Parv 2025" in Baramulla, Bandipora & Handwara, marking a significant step towards fostering civic responsibility and environmental consciousness.
In Baramulla, a cleanliness drive was held at Range Police Headquarters RPHQ Baramulla and District Police Lines (DPL) Baramulla. The drive was led in presence of DIG North Kashmir Range Shri. Maqsood-ul-Zaman-IPS, SSP Baramulla, SP Hqrs. Baramulla, SP OPs Baramulla and other senior officers, who actively participated along with police personnel in the drive with great enthusiasm, reaffirming their commitment towards maintaining hygiene and ensuring a clean environment.
The campaign was aimed at spreading the message of cleanliness, discipline, and responsibility among the personnel as well as the community at large. During the drive, surroundings were cleaned, waste was disposed of in a proper manner, and emphasis was laid on keeping the premises neat and pollution-free.
Speaking on the occasion, officers highlighted that cleanliness is not just a symbolic activity but an integral part of healthy living and community well-being. They further reiterated that Police will continue such initiatives to contribute positively to society under Sewa Parv 2025. DIG North Kashmir Range Shri Maqsood-ul-Zaman commended the dedication of the personnel and highlighted the importance of embedding cleanliness into daily routines as a reflection of discipline and national pride.
In Bandipora J&K Police organised a Swachhta Abhiyaan drive in and around the premises of District Police Lines Bandipora and District Police Headquarters Bandipora. The cleanliness drive was led by Senior Superintendent of Police Bandipora, Shri Harmeet Singh Mehta (JKPS), and witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and officials of all ranks, including ASP Bandipora, GOs, SHOs, and IC PPs. The officers were united in the spirit of public service and joined hands in the common cause of cleanliness.
In Handwara, the drive began from Police Station Vilgam and concluded at Main Chowk Vilgam, covering prominent public spaces and key routes along the way. Police and CRPF personnel, alongside members of civil society, actively took part by cleaning streets, collecting litter, and spreading awareness about adopting eco-friendly practices.
Addressing the participants, J&K Police officers underlined that cleanliness is not a one-time activity but a sustained mission that requires collective responsibility. They stressed the importance of waste management, environmental conservation, and continuous community cooperation for healthier and sustainable living. J&K Police assured that similar initiatives will continue in the future, reflecting its motto of serving the people through both policing and community-oriented efforts.
