RAJOURI: To empower potential sellers from District Rajouri with a digital platform, an e-commerce on-boarding event was conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO) of the Industries & Commerce Department, J&K here today in the the conference hall of the Dak Bungalow . The event was organized on the directives of Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner Secretary Industries & Commerce and under the guidance of Khalid Jahangir, Managing Director JKTPO, in collaboration with the District Administration Rajouri.

The initiative focused on onboarding local sellers, artisans, retailers, small merchants, FPOs, NRLM SHG members, and traders onto the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) Network and Government e Marketplace (GeM). In partnership with ONDC Seller Partner MyStore and GeM, the goal was to provide access to a wide-ranging digital marketplace.

Over 130 local entrepreneurs, artisans, retailers, small merchants, FPOs, and traders from Rajouri participated in the event. JKTPO plans to host similar events across all districts of Jammu and Kashmir, providing ODOP and DEH entrepreneurs with opportunities to register on e-commerce platforms. This initiative aims to empower them to showcase and sell their products globally.

The onboarding drive marked a significant step in JKTPO's ongoing efforts to boost economic growth and enhance digital commerce in Jammu and Kashmir. These workshops raised awareness about the advantages of using e-commerce platforms such as ONDC/GeM, enabling businesses to extend their reach beyond conventional limits.

Earlier, Banu Partap Singh, Vice President of Sales at MyStore, along with Prafull, Manager at MyStore, conducted virtual training sessions for our sellers. During the session, Javed Seikh, business facilitator GeM, emphasized the numerous advantages of joining ecommerce platforms and provided a detailed explanation of the entire onboarding process.
