BANDIPORA: A plantation drive was successfully carried out at Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) Mantrigam under the aegis of the Social Forestry Range Bandipora to celebrate Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.

The event was held with the theme of promoting environmental conservation and preserving cultural heritage. The plantation drive aimed to raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection and the significant role of tribal communities in conservation efforts. On the occasion, students and local community members participated enthusiastically, planting saplings and learning about sustainable environmental practices.

This initiative formed part of the broader celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, which honors the contributions and legacy of tribal freedom fighters and communities.  By engaging in such environmental activities, the community reaffirmed its commitment to building a greener and more sustainable future.
