In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

RAMBAN: State Bank of India’s Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Ramban on Wednesday organized an Entrepreneurship Awareness Program Camp here at Thopal Batote. Held under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, the camp was spearheaded by Director RSETI Harvinder Singh and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 40 aspiring entrepreneurs from the region.

The event focused on fostering entrepreneurial skills and enhancing awareness about self-employment opportunities. Participants were introduced to the self-employment government schemes such as PMEGP, Mudra Yojana and JKREGP, which are designed to support individuals in starting and growing their businesses.

Speaking at the event, the Director RSETI emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in ensuring economic development and creating sustainable livelihoods. He encouraged participants to explore opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, handicrafts, and small-scale industries, which hold immense potential in the region.

Participants also gained insights into the support and training, including financial literacy, business planning, and entrepreneurial competencies. The session included interactive discussions, case studies, and testimonials from successful entrepreneurs trained by the institute. The camp concluded with an open interaction session where participants raised queries about funding options, skill development programs, and market linkages.  The Director assured the attendees of continued support and encouraged them to enroll in upcoming training programs offered by the institute.
