JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) on Wednesday celebrated 76th Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas) at its Sempora campus in Kashmir and Bari Brahmana campus in Jammu to commemorate adoption of the Constitution of India. This yearâs celebrations were held under the theme âHamara Samvidhan Hamara Swabhimanâ (Our Constitution â Our Pride).
Director, JKEDI and Secretary in Industries and Commerce Department Khalid Jahangir presided over the event at the JKEDI Regional Campus, Jammu. The Secretary highlighted the greatness of the Constitution of India and its role in ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens. He emphasized that the Constitution is not merely a legal document but a visionary framework aimed at the welfare and progress of the nation.
As part of the observance, a pledge ceremony was conducted to reaffirm commitment to uphold the Constitution in its true spirit. The Preamble was read aloud and all employees pledged to abide by the ideals and fulfill the fundamental duties enshrined in it. The Constitution Day was also observed in JKEDIâs district offices, where District Nodal Officers and faculty members spoke on various aspects of the Constitution. They recalled the invaluable contribution of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar in shaping the Constitution and underscored the importance of understanding and celebrating the nationâs achievements and history.
