KISHTWAR: The Department of Handicrafts and Handloom, under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan, organized an awareness camp for weavers and artisans here at Atholi Padder. The event aimed to educate artisans and weavers about various departmental schemes and encourage them to register with the department to avail benefits.
The program was attended by more than 100 artisans of Padder areas, besides officials from the Handicrafts Department. DDC Hari Krishan, Social Activist Veena Parihar, and Jagdish Ji encouraged artisans and weavers to take advantage of departmental schemes. Assistant Director Handicrafts and Handloom Kishtwar, Pardeep Shan informed participants about various schemes, including, Credit Card Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Weavers Mudra Yojna, Financial Support Scheme, Karkhandar Scheme, Education Scholarship Scheme etc.
He also urged artisans and weavers to register with the department to avail benefits, including the formation of Pehchan Card to access Development Commissioner Handicrafts and Handloom, GOI schemes. During the event, registration certificates of two Handicrafts industrial Cooperative Societies were distributed, and pamphlets covering departmental schemes were shared among participants.
