REASI: SANKALP-Hub for Empowerment of Women Reasi in collaboration with Mission Poshan organised an awareness programme under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme at Panchayat Bathoie, Tehsil & Block Mahore. The programme was organised under the supervision of District Social Welfare Officer Sachin Sharma.
The HEW Team distributed Menstrual Hygiene Kits among adolescent girls for creating awareness on Menstrual Hygiene Management as part of its overall interventions related to behaviour change on sanitation hygiene aspects in rural areas. Apart from this, mothers and their baby girls were also felicitated in the presence of their grandparents. Meanwhile, parents were made aware regarding Sukanya Samridhi Yojana for the safe and bright future of their daughters.
They were provided detailed information regarding the working of Hub at District level to facilitate women for their forward and backward linkages under the different women centric schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMVVY), One Stop Centre, Pension Schemes, State Marriage Assistance Scheme for poor girls, Skill Development Courses offered by SBI Rural Skill Employment Training Institute (SBI RSETI), Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana ( PMKVY) and Women Entrepreneurship Programmes. The program concluded with an assurance to the public of holding such camps on regular intervals.
