DODA: The Jammu & Kashmir Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) Doda organized an awareness camp at ITI Doda to educate trainees about various self-employment schemes implemented by it in the district. District Officer KVIB Satesh Kumar briefed the trainees in detail about key schemes like the Prime Ministerâs Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP). He urged unemployed youth and budding entrepreneurs to take full advantage of these government-sponsored initiatives to establish their ventures.
He emphasized that these schemes aim to reduce migration from rural to urban areas by creating employment opportunities in villages. He also highlighted the user-friendly, online application process for both schemes, encouraging participants to apply directly via their smartphones on the official websites. Pamphlets containing detailed information about PMEGP and JKREGP were distributed among the attendees to enhance their understanding of the schemes. The event successfully motivated the participants to explore self-employment as a viable career option.
