RAMBAN: Directorate of AYUSH, and District Administration Ramban in collaboration with a local NGO, celebrated the 9th Ayurveda Day by organizing a Medical and Awareness Camp at National Academy School. The aim was to expand public outreach and educate students about the importance of Ayurveda and wellness practices. The event was held under the guidance of Dr. Mohan Singh, Director AYUSH, J&K, Jammu, and Dr. Suresh Sharma, Deputy Director AYUSH.
The camp featured various awareness activities, distribution of IEC material, and immunity-boosting medicines for students from a local school. Students also contributed to the event with a science exhibition, adding an educational dimension to the celebrations.
District Yoga Coordinator, Dr. Masood Iqbal Zargar, addressed the students, emphasizing the significance of Ayurveda and Yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. As part of the camp’s health services, Dr. Zargar reported that 25 individuals underwent blood grouping, 30 received blood sugar tests, 25 had hemoglobin tests, 140 underwent dental check-ups, and 250 people were provided with immunity-boosting medicines.
The Directorate of AYUSH expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts, highlighting the positive impact of integrating traditional wellness practices into public health awareness.
