DODA: In a significant effort to promote road safety, an awareness session was conducted today for the volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Doda. The session was organized under the direction of Transport Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, and Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, with the supervision of ARTO Doda, Rajesh Gupta.
The primary aim was to educate the volunteers, who would then spread awareness among bus and taxi drivers at Pul Doda about important traffic safety issues. During the session, special emphasis was placed on the dangers of overloading vehicles and the importance of adhering to traffic rules. Volunteers were also briefed on the critical role of seat belt usage to enhance driver and passenger safety.
The goal was to empower the volunteers with knowledge so they could effectively communicate these crucial messages to drivers and passengers alike, fostering responsible driving behavior. The session not only aimed to reduce road accidents but also sought to promote a deeper understanding of traffic laws, encouraging compliance among all road users. This initiative is a part of the ongoing efforts by local authorities to create a culture of road safety and traffic rule adherence in Doda. By involving the Nehru Yuva Kendra volunteers in this campaign, the authorities aimed to extend the reach of the message to a broader audience, ensuring that the importance of road safety is ingrained in the community.
