BHADERWAH: The local administration in Bhaderwah has geared up for seamless arrangements for the upcoming festival season. With several major festivals approaching, including the Eid-ul-fitre, Navaratri and Baisakhi, the administration is on the job to take all measures to meet public expectations.
In this regard, Additional District Development Commissioner Sunil Kumar conducted a comprehensive review of the arrangements for the upcoming festival season, ensuring smooth operations and safety for the locals and visitors alike. The review meeting focused on key aspects including security, traffic management, healthcare facilities, and waste management.
The meeting was attended by Tehsildars from Bhadarwah and Bhalla, local SDPO, Executive Officer MC, Block Medical Officer and officials from functionaries from Power, Jal Shakti, MVD, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affair , fire and emergency department , representatives of religious organizations and traders unions.
The meeting reviewed the availability of essential commodities, especially mutton, Chicken, Vegetables and milk and the mechanism in place for regulation of market prices, quality of food, hygiene besides checking overpricing and hoarding. The officers of all departments were asked to work in a synergized manner so that the people do not face any inconvenience during the Festivals.
The ADC directed the PDD and PHE to ensure that the consumers get adequate power and potable water supply during the festivals in all mosques and at all temples particularly at Mata Chandi Temple, the main venue of Navratra. He also directed them to repair all defunct street lights, damaged poles, transformers and water pipes and gravity lines to ensure smooth supply.
The FCS&CA department was asked to keep available essential commodities and effectively monitor the ration distribution mechanism in the Sub District to ensure that the quota of the same reaches to the people well in time.
