EJAC Vice President pays tribute to Dr. Lateef Ahmad Bhat on his 1st death anniversary

SRINAGAR: The first death anniversary of Dr. Lateef Ahmad Bhat was marked by a heartfelt tribute from Farooq Ahmad Khan, Vice President of the Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) and Patron of the Mechanical Irrigation Employees Federation. The delegation visited the Nowhatta graveyard to offer their respects, where special Fateh Khawani and Dua-e-Magfirat were recited for the departed soul.

The tribute was attended by several prominent figures, Bother Rouf Ahmad Bhat, including President of Zaina Kadal Qazi Masjid Abdul Rashid Zaroo, General Secretary Farooq Ahmad Shalmari, Vice President Naseer Ahmad Nahvi, District President Srinagar Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Chief Spokesperson Farooq Malik, Press Secretary Shabir Ahmad Khan, and other members of MIEF. Together, they extended their condolences and expressed solidarity with Dr. Lateef’s grieving family.

Dr. Lateef Ahmad Bhat, the beloved brother of Rouf Ahmad Bhat, Under Secretary in the Industries & Commerce Department of J&K Government, was celebrated for his outstanding contributions, deep compassion, and unwavering commitment to public service. Friends, family, and colleagues gathered to honor his enduring legacy.

In his tribute, Farooq Ahmad Khan said, “Dr. Lateef Ahmad Bhat was a man of great wisdom and kindness. His dedication to his profession and his selfless service to others have set a shining example for all of us. May Allah grant him eternal peace and Jannat-ul-Firdous.”

Abdul Rashid Zaroo, President of Qazi Masjid Zaina Kadal, also shared his profound sorrow, stating, “The loss of Dr. Lateef is immeasurable, but his legacy of compassion and dedication continues to inspire us all. Today, we come together in prayer, asking Allah to shower His mercy upon him and provide strength and comfort to his family.”

The gathering at the graveyard included special prayers and Quranic recitations, as all attendees united in seeking Allah’s mercy for Dr. Lateef and for strength for his family to bear the loss. The event concluded with a vow to preserve and promote the values Dr. Lateef embodied, ensuring that his contributions and memory remain alive in the community.
