JAMMU: People in large numbers from various backgrounds, including prominent political leaders, social activists, and youth, are joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu & Kashmir on almost daily basis. This is due to the fact that the people have been inspired by the good governance model of Narendra Modi.
Sat Sharma CA, President, Jammu and Kashmir BJP, said this while welcoming Farooq Khan, a prominent Pahari leader from Manjakot, into the partyfold. Farooq Khan had been working in NC for the last over 22 years and was District Secretary, Youth Wing, before quitting it.
Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, Rakesh Mahajan, BJP Returning Officer, Mohd Iqbal Malik, DDC Darhal, senior leaders Karan Singh, Rashpal Verma, Rajinder Singh Chib, Daljit Singh, Rakesh Pant, were present during the joining event.
Sat Sharma CA, on this occasion, said that people across Jammu and Kashmir are shifting their political inclinations towards BJP as they are convinced that the policies of the BJP, programmes and schemes of Narendra Modi government are for their welfare, peace and development.

They have realized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, sincere efforts have been made during the last over ten years to ensure peace, development, and prosperity for all.
Farooq Khan said that he is of the view that Modi's governance model has brought a positive transformation in Jammu and Kashmir. He appreciated the benefits of various central government schemes, such as the PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, and entrepreneurship initiatives, which have significantly improved lives in Jammu & Kashmir.
Farooq Khan praised the abrogation of Article 370 as a historic decision that has led to increased investment, improved infrastructure, restoration of peace, and better opportunities for the youth.
He assured the party leadership to work whole heartedly towards BJPâs vision of a Viksit Bharat and contribute to the socio-economic transformation of Jammu & Kashmir. Mohd Iqbal Malik said that Modi government has shown real concern for the socio- political empowerment of the Pahari people and granted reservation to STs.
