UDHAMPUR: Juhi Manhas Pathania, Vice Chairperson District Development Council, Udhampur held a public meeting today in Khoon to address the concerns and grievances of local residents. The meeting saw a significant turnout, with community members expressing a range of issues affecting their daily lives.
During her address, Pathania emphasized her commitment to serving the community, stating, “I am dedicated to working for each and every one of you. Your voices matter, and it is my responsibility to ensure that your concerns are heard and addressed. Together, we can build a better future for our district.”
Throughout the meeting, residents raised various issues including inadequate infrastructure, water supply problems, PMAYG houses discrepancies and delays in public services. Pathania listened attentively and engaged with the community, taking detailed notes on each concern raised.
In response to the grievances, she immediately directed the concerned departments to take timely action. Notably, she instructed the Public Health Engineering department to address the water supply issues in the area and expedite the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission for its early implementation. “I urge all relevant officials to prioritize these issues and provide solutions as soon as possible,” she stated. “It is essential that we work collaboratively to resolve these challenges and improve the quality of life for our residents.”
Pathania also highlighted the importance of community involvement in the development process. “Your feedback is invaluable,” she remarked. “I encourage everyone to continue voicing their concerns and suggestions. Together, we can ensure that our development initiatives are aligned with the needs of the people.”
Among those who remain present included officials from the Department of PHE, RDD and galaxy of local leaders . The meeting concluded on an optimistic note as community members expressed gratitude for the Vice Chairperson’s presence and her proactive approach to addressing their issues.
