SHOPIAN: On the second day of Vigilance Awareness Week, being observed from October 28 to November 3, a series of impactful programs were organized by the District Administration Shopian in collaboration with the ACB to promote awareness on corruption prevention, transparency and integrity.
At the Mini Secretariat Shopian, a seminar was conducted focusing on the various aspects of corruption, related laws, and the importance of ethical values in public service. Key discussions emphasized the significance of upholding moral standards and the role of integrity in strengthening governance.
The event saw active participation from the officials of various departments, and distinguished officers from ACB, alongside local officers. In a concurrent awareness program held at GDC Shopian, Dr. Shafiq Ahmad, Principal of GDC, presided over the event. The program was attended by faculty, staff members, and a large number of students.
A key speech delivered by ACB representatives underlined the role of education in fostering an anti-corruption ethos and the importance of instilling vigilance and accountability among youth for a corruption-free society.
