RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a meeting of the District Advisory Committee to review the implementation strategy for the MY Bharat initiative and strengthen youth participation across the district.

The District Youth Officer, MY Bharat, gave a detailed presentation on the objectives, scope and significance of the Government of India initiative aimed at empowering youth through volunteerism, leadership development, experiential learning and nation-building.

Reviewing the strategy, the Deputy Commissioner called for effective convergence among all departments to create widespread awareness and promote maximum registration of youth on the MY Bharat Portal.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the Chief Education Officer, Principals of Government Degree Colleges, Principal Government Polytechnic College, Superintendents of ITIs and other officers concerned to ensure maximum enrollment of students on the portal, and to organise awareness programmes, registration drives and outreach activities to encourage youth across the district to join the initiative. Among those present were ACD Sheraz Ahmed, CPO Dr Shakeeb Ahmed, the CEO, CMO, Tehsildars, ALC, DYSSO, LDM and other officers concerned.
