UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today chaired a review meeting of officers from various line departments to assess progress of Centrally Sponsored Schemes and saturation of individual beneficiary-oriented schemes across the district.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted a sector-wise review of centrally sponsored schemes and saturation of individual beneficiary-oriented schemes. He directed all departments to work in close coordination with a strong sense of accountability to ensure effective and timely delivery of benefits to eligible beneficiaries.
He directed intensification of awareness campaigns so that people are fully informed about welfare and social security schemes, and instructed officers to ensure schemes are implemented in letter and spirit and essential public services delivered within prescribed timelines.
The DC called upon departments to achieve set targets through effective grassroots implementation, and directed officers concerned to update progress data of Centrally Sponsored Schemes on a monthly basis for regular monitoring and timely intervention. Among those present were PO Poshan Subash Dogra, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh and district officers from various government departments.
