SRINAGAR: In compliance to the directions of NALSA & JK Legal Services Authority, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar, organized a  Special Lok Adalat for Matrimonial Cases.

 The Special Lok Adalat, aimed at amicably resolving Cases, was held under the guidance of Haq Nawaz Zargar, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Principal District & Sessions Judge) Srinagar, and overall supervision of Secretary DLSA Srinagar.

To facilitate the amicable settlement of cases, two benches were constituted for the Special Lok Adalat. The 1st bench  was presided over by   Mehreen Mushtaq, Principal Judge Family Court, Srinagar, and Massarat Jabeen, PT&E Magistrate, Srinagar as Member, and the 2nd bench was presided over by  Preet Simran Kaur, 4th Additional Sessions Judge, Srinagar and  Fida Hussain Nayak, Municipal Magistrate, Srinagar as member. 85 cases were taken up by these benches for  amicable  settlement, out of which 14 cases were settled.
