GANDERBAL: In compliance with the directions issued by the Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ganderbal, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority, successfully conducted a Special Lok Adalat on Matrimonial Cases today, in the District.
The Special Lok Adalat was organized under the direction and supervision of Abdul Nasir, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Ganderbal, and under the guidance of Sheikh Babar Hussain, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Ganderbal.
To facilitate the amicable settlement of Matrimonial disputes, two benches were constituted. The first bench was presided over by Mahoor, Munsiff/JMIC, Ganderbal, with Shaheena Ali, Assistant Legal Aid Defence Counsel as Bench Member, held at District Court Complex Ganderbal. The second bench was presided over by Moonis Wahid, Munsiff/JMIC, Kangan, with Advocate Tariq Ahmad Raina, Panel Lawyer, as Bench Member, held at the Munsiff Court Complex, Kangan.
During the Special Lok Adalat, 21 matrimonial cases were taken up, out of which 10 cases were amicably settled. District Legal Services Authority, Ganderbal, expresses its appreciation to the Presiding Officers, Bench Members, Panel Lawyers, Legal Aid Defence Counsels, court staff and all stakeholders for their cooperation in ensuring the successful conduct of the Special Lok Adalat.
