RAJOURI: Director Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and designated District Mentor Officer for Rajouri under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP), Rajesh Kumar Shavan today conducted a comprehensive review of the digitization and modernization of land records in the district at a meeting held in the Dak Bungalow, here.
The review meeting was attended by Ravi Kumar Sihag IAS; Dr. Mohammad Tanwir Khan, ADC Kalakote; Dil Mir, ADC Kotranka; Pritam Thapa, ADC Nowshera; Ramkesh Sharma, ADC Sunderbani and Abid Hussain, SDM Thanamandi, besides all Tehsildars of District Rajouri and other concerned Revenue officers and officials.
At the outset, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Jahangir Khan gave a detailed presentation on the status of different components of DILRMP in the district. The presentation covered digitization and verification of Jamabandi records, clearance of backlog mutation entries, geo referencing of revenue maps and their ground-truthing, redressal of grievances through quasi-judicial and non-quasi-judicial mechanisms, sub-parcellation of mother maps, recreation of missing and dilapidated maps and verification of digitized Jamabandi by supervisory officers.
Speaking at the meeting, the Mentor Officer highlighted the significance of digitization of land records as an important measure aimed at ensuring accuracy, transparency, reliability and ease of access to land records for the general public. He stressed upon all Revenue officers and officials to make every possible effort to purify and authenticate the Jamabandi records and ensure their correctness to the maximum possible extent before finalization. He advised the Revenue authorities to give wide publicity to the facility available through the Zameen Sudhaar Portal for submission and redressal of grievances.
The Mentor Officer also informed that monthly review meetings shall be convened to closely monitor the progress of digitization, verification, map-related activities, mutation clearance and grievance redressal, besides identifying bottlenecks and ensuring its timely resolution.
The participating officers also discussed various field-level and technical issues encountered during the process and assured that coordinated efforts would be made to further accelerate the implementation of DILRMP in the district.
