BARAMULLA: Continuing its sustained drive against drug abuse and illicit cultivation, Police in Baramulla conducted a destruction drive in and around the main market area of Boniyar, resulting in the destruction of approximately 2 kanals of wild bhang.

The action was carried out by Police Station Boniyar based on inputs received through the Village Police Officer (VPO) and Beat Officer, who identified the locations where wild bhang was growing.

Police reiterated its commitment to keeping public places and local communities free from drug-related threats and urged the public to promptly share information regarding any illicit cultivation or drug-related activity with the Police.
